The SPMM Course was formed in 2005, and we are proud to say that we have helped over 5000 trainees from around the world to pass the exams since our first course in 2005. The SPMM Team

Dr Sree Prathap Mohana Murthy, Course Director and Founder

Sree works as a Consultant in older people’s psychiatry at Southwest London and St. George's mental health NHS trust. He is honorary Senior Lecturer at Springfield university hospital and is also the ECT clinical Lead in Barnes Hospital. He has authored two books on MRCPsych clinical exams and is a keen postgraduate teacher. He was awarded many prizes including Dr. Venkoba Rao Gold medal in psychiatry and the Pfizer prize for outstanding achievement in undergraduate medicine. He organizes CASC, mock exams, online course and weekend theory courses for all 3 papers.

Dr. Mythili Varadan, Course Founder

Mythili works as an associate specialist in General adult psychiatry. She has a special interest in addiction and neuropsychiatry. She has been involved in organizing our OSCEs since the conception of such an idea in 2005. Apart from being a busy mother, she runs the show on our CASC weekends!

Dr Lena Palaniyappan, Course Tutor

Lena is a Wellcome Training Fellow attached to the Translational Neuroimaging in Mental Health Group at Nottingham University. He received the prestigious Laughlin Prize for outstanding performance in MRCPsych in 2007. He has a special interest in neurobiology of psychosis, especially neuroimaging. He has published MRCPsych MCQ books for papers 1, 2 and 3 as a part of Oxford Speciality Training series (OUP). He organises our weekend theory and online courses.

Rachel Foster, Course Administrator

Rachel joined the team in August 2009. She works on a part time basis managing all queries and registrations. You will get to meet her at the weekend course registrations.
